Stop the war! – Declaration of the Russian academic diaspora

We, the representatives of the Russian academic diaspora, express our indignation at the Russian military aggression against Ukraine. Russia’s baseless and unprovoked invasion of a neighboring country, accompanied by bombardment and missile strikes—which has already led to loss of life— is a crime against the Ukrainian people; this unjustifiable war is also a crime against the Russian people. These senseless actions, will doom Russia and its people to international isolation and social upheaval.

We express our solidarity with the people of Ukraine and with all those for whom the last several days have brought pain and tragedy. We express our solidarity with our colleagues, researchers and scholars in Ukraine. We call for an immediate stop of military actions on the Ukrainian soil and the withdrawal of Russian troops from Ukraine.
