Welcome to the VI Annual Conference!
Dear colleagues and friends!
Welcome to the VI Annual Conference of the Russian American Science Association (RASA-USA)! The Conference takes place in the wonderful new Science and Engineering Hall of the George Washington University, in the US capital Washington DC. This year’s conference is dedicated to the 111th anniversary of the birth of Russian and American scientist George Gamow.
We are planning to have presentations by the leading Russian-speaking scientists from the United States and Russia, representatives of various fields of science. Traditionally, the Conference will become a place for meetings and exchange of ideas between scientists, research administrators, innovators and entrepreneurs. We are planning panel discussions on the participation of the Russian-speaking diaspora in development of science in Russia, transnational mobility of researchers, global education, commercialization of academic research, and support for young scientists.
The conference will be attended by Minister of Education and Science of the Russian Federation Dmitry Viktorovich Livanov, Russian Ambassador to the US Sergey Ivanovich Kislyak, representatives of the National Institutes of Health, the National Science Foundation, the National Institute of Standards and Technology, the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, the Russian development institutions, research and investment funds, leading American and Russian universities.
On behalf of the Organizing Committee, I would like to express gratitude to the informational partner of the Conference Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology, the general partner OJSC “Russian Venture Company” and the partner American Physical Society. I would like to thank colleagues from the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, Rossotrudnichestvo, the Russian Embassy in the United States and the George Washington University, in collaboration with whom we organized the Conference.
I wish you to have productive time and interesting meetings!
