VIII RASA Conference in Chicago, Nov. 4-5, 2017
Dear colleagues!
We invite you to attend the VIII Annual Conference of the Russian American Science Association (RASA-USA) that will be held on November 4-5, 2017 in Chicago, Illinois.
This year the conference is organized in cooperation with NorthWestern University and dedicated to the 150th anniversary of Vladimir Ipatieff – an outstanding Russian chemist and NWU professor (Wikipedia)
RASA-USA is an independent section of the Russian-speaking Academic Scientists Association ( http://www.dumaem-po-russki.org ) – an international non-profit non-governmental organization founded in 2008. Our goal is to preserve, strengthen and develop the common intellectual and cultural space of the Russian-speaking scientific diaspora. The Association has more than 500 active members – scientists, teachers, graduate students, students and other scientific and technical workers in universities and companies, as well as innovators and entrepreneurs in the field of high technology from Former Soviet Union, currently working or studying abroad – regardless of their nationality, religion, political views or economic interests.
The Conference program includes scientific reports of leading Russian-speaking scientists, representing various fields, as well as panel discussions on the topics of participation of the Russian-speaking scientific diaspora in the development of Russian science, transnational mobility of scientists, global education and youth support in science. As usual, we expect a good number of representatives of leading American and Russian universities, US National Laboratories, the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Russian institutes of development to attend the Conference.
