{"id":6676,"date":"2026-09-05T21:48:44","date_gmt":"2026-09-06T01:48:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/rasa-usa.org\/?p=6676"},"modified":"2026-09-05T21:49:50","modified_gmt":"2026-09-06T01:49:50","slug":"declaration-rasa-tatarinova","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rasa-usa.org\/en\/declarations\/declaration-rasa-tatarinova\/","title":{"rendered":"RASA Statement in Support of Professor Tatiana Tatarinova"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Russian-American Science Association strongly condemns the decision of the Russian authorities to designate our colleague Tatiana Tatarinova, a distinguished bioinformatics scholar and professor at the University of La Verne, as a \u201cforeign agent.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tatiana joins a growing number of Russian-speaking scholars and members of the RASA community who have been subjected to political persecution, intimidation, and restrictions on their academic and civic freedom. These measures have nothing to do with the quality of their scholarship or their professional activities.
