Russia\u2019s baseless and unprovoked invasion of a neighboring country, accompanied by bombardment and missile strikes\u2014which has already led to loss of life\u2014 is a crime against the Ukrainian people; this unjustifiable war is also a crime against the Russian people. These senseless actions, will doom Russia and its people to international isolation and social upheaval.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>We express our solidarity with the people of Ukraine and with all those for whom the last several days have brought pain and tragedy. We express our solidarity with our colleagues, researchers and scholars in Ukraine. We call for an immediate stop of military actions on the Ukrainian soil and the withdrawal of Russian troops from Ukraine.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>As of March 1 2022 the statement has been signed by over 400 individuals.
